A bogey on the third hole of the day?
Pffft.
Russell Henley followed that with a par and four straight birdies en route to keeping the lead at the Wyndham Championship in Greensboro, North Carolina.
The Stratford and Georgia grad held on to the lead after two rounds, staying ahead of Rory Sabbatini, Webb Simpson, and Scott Piercy, a trio tied for second.
Among those missing the cut: Hideki Matsuyama, Brian Harman, Matthew Wolff, Lucas Glover, Jason Kokrak, and Charl Schwartzel.
Henley finished tied for ninth here a year ago and tied for 31st two years ago.
He’s at a 14-under 126 after two rounds, four shots ahead of the trio tied for second. Friday’s 64 is Henley’s fifth round under 65 this season
