Central Georgia connections spark Bacon
Warner Robins grad and Middle Georgia State pitcher Hunter Varnadoe went four solid innings for the win and Mary Persons’ Tripp Moore had two hits in Macon’s 9-6 win at Florence in Coastal Plain action.
Macon put up eight runs in two innings for an 8-3 lead after five. Florence stayed close, but the Bacon shut the door.
Macon hosts Savannah on Thursday and Lexington County on Saturday
