The relevant GHSA semifinal scores – Central Georgia opponent connections – will be updated, and then all GHSA semifinals, along with the GHSA schedule for the championships.

GISA Girls Class AA Championship
Brentwood 46, Westwood 33
The War Eagles led 22-18 at halftime, but the balance and depth started taking over in the third quarter and propelled Brentwood to the state title and unseat the defending champions.
Brentwood outscored Westwood 17-8 in the third quarter,  finally reaching a double-digit lead with just more than three minutes left.
They took a 39-26 lead into the fourth quarter, and went 7 for 11 from the line  – the War Eagles’ only points of the final period of the season – while keeping the Wildcats from getting much going on offense.
Junior Morgan Massengale led the 28-3 champs with 16 points, 12 coming on 3-pointers. Junior Cameran Francis added 10, and freshman Anne Marie Sheppard nine.
Monique Judge had 17 of Westwood’s points, 51.5 percent.

GISA Class AAA Boys Championship
John Milledge 60,  Creekside Christian 55
The Trojans got out to a nice 9-0 start, and then had a battle the rest of the way, sealing it on a breakaway layup and free throw by Marcus Prestwood with 12 seconds left for a five-point lead.
The lead grew to 13-2, but the Trojans had to settle for an 18-14 lead after one. Creekside forged ahead late in the second quarter for a 34-33 halftime lead.
John Milledge led 46-44 after three.

GISA Girls Class AAA Championship
Southland 29, Westfield 22

The teams got off to very sluggish starts, Westfield taking a 2-0 lead 40 seconds into the game, and it stayed that way until the 2:40 mark of the first quarter.
Westfield (20-4) turned a 9-7 halftime deficit into a 13-9 lead, but Southland (20-3) crept ahead for the lead after three and pulled away to take the state title in its hometown, barely two miles from its own campus.
The Hornets finally broke their scoring drought early in the fourth and tied it at 18 on Sadie Hayes’ bucket underneath with 6:10 left and were down only one with 2:17 left, but the Raiders were able to hold on.

GISA Class A Boys Championship
Oak Mountain 66, Twiggs Academy 54

GHSA Girls Class AAA Semifinal
Greater Atlanta Christian 48, Upson-Lee 35
A 23-all halftime game – thanks to a 3 with 10 seconds left Tyla Zellner - turned into a good second half for the home team, Greater Atlanta Christian taking control and upping the margin to 10 midway through the fourth quarter en route to handing the Knights their only loss of the season.
Jakera Ellerbee had 10 points at the half for the Knights, but also three fouls. She ended up fouling out midway through the fourth quarter having scored only two more points, sitting out half of the third quarter. The Knights were stuffed in the third quarter, scoring only four points, and they ended up shooting only seven second-half free throws.
The Spartans scored 11 in the third and 14 in the fourth to pull away, holding the Knights overall to a little more than half of their after of nearly 65 points. GAC started to take control at the end of the third, and held off Upson-Lee after the Knights had pulled within five.

GHSA Boys Class A Public Semifinal
Hancock Central 73, Dublin 72
Only a few days after ending Terrell County’s season with a buzzer-beater from 15 feet, Jamal Taylor was at it again, this time firing off a beyond-half-court shot with three-tenths of a second left that was perfect and turned a 72-70 deficit into a return to the state championship game and give the Bulldogs a chance to defend their title.
The Bulldogs trailed 35-30 at halftime but led 53-51 after three. And the game went back and forth, and was tied at 68 with 43.8 seconds left. The Irish led 72-68 and 72-70, then missed the front end of a bonus. Hancock Central inbounded with 1.5 seconds left, Taylor getting it at the top of the key, taking a dribble and letting go.
Kendall Wade led Dublin with 17 points, all in the final three quarters. Tyquan Davis had 15, and Zion Davis 14, all in the first half. Post Marquavious Lawrence topped Hancock Central with 20 points, while Taylor and Leroy Wilson added 17 each. Taylor’s only 3-pointer was the game-winner.

Baldwin 46, McDonough 42
In a 27-15 halftime hole at home, Baldwin finally took the lead midway through the fourth quarter, and sealed the deal on William Freeman’s steal on a trap with Rudolph Satcher on an inbounds with 8,5 seconds left, adding two more free throws to survive.
Satcher led the Braves with 16 points, Shatavious Hogan adding 10 and Freeman nine to keep Baldwin undefeated.
