Thursday's Daily News 'n Notes: GISA adds GAPPS; Scoreboard; Braves sign Jones County's Gore; Mercer, Georgia College, MGSU, and more

          The hosts gave up a run in the top of the seventh, but won it with two in the bottom of the seventh. The Greyhounds, who had four error, got two hits from John Alan Richter. They visit Warner Robins on Friday.

Jasper County/Monticello 9, GMC 4

          The Purple Hurricanes trailed 4-0 until a six-run fifth. Graeme Williams had three hits from the No. 9 spot, Cole Hays two from No. 7. Ethan Lynch and Hunter Hayes had two RBI.

Tattnall 10, Mount de Sales 0

          It took the Trojans until the third inning to score, but they took care of business quickly, with 10 runs in three innings. Charlie Morris drove in four runs n three hits for the Trojans, who got two RBIs from Clay Rowland and Benjamin Stubbs, and took 12 walks to bolster only four hits. Bo Hatcher threw a five-inning one-hitter.

          Madelyn Davis and Mary Daniel Windham took care of FPD’s scoring with two goals each, Davis and Emmie DeZoort with assists. Emily Brennamen scored for the Greyhounds.

B-FPD 6, Jones County 2

          Gunner Heath found the back three times and Ty Pettigrew twice, Park Davis rounding out FPD’s scoring, Heath and Davis with assists. Noah Smith and Cade Jenkins scored for the Greyhounds.
