Alcovy 13, Baldwin 2

Howard 16, Central 1

          The Huskies trailed early, but not for long, sending 13 to the plate in the bottom of the first to break a two-game losing streak. Howard (1-2) visits Mary Persons on Wednesday while Central (0-2) heads to GMC on Tuesday.

Jasper County 11, Lake Oconee 1

          The Purple Hurricanes turned a 1-0 first-inning deficit around, scoring in the final five innings of the game, aided by for Lake Oconee errors. Justyn Fields and Cole Hays had two hits and two RBI for Jasper County. Hays whiffed six in two innings and 23 pitches, but starter Hunter Hays got the win, striking out four in three innings.

Mary Persons 16, Eagle’s Landing 0

          Caden Swancey and Ian Lewis teamed for a four-inning, 40-pitch perfect game, the Bulldogs getting 12 in the firs two innings. Eric Snow belted a grand slam and had two hits and six RBI from the leadoff spot. Thomas Brooks had two hits and Aric Mock three RBI. Five Bulldogs scored at least twice.

Mount de Sales 10, Rutland 6

          MdS scored all its runs in the first four innings and squelched Rutland’s comeback hopes after two in the fifth. Bricen Smith and Drew Senn had two hits and two runs each for the Cavs, Fernando Washington scoring three times and Jared Diaz driving in two runs. Casen Summerday had three hits and three RBI for the Hurricanes, who gave up 10 walks. Diaz, Washington, and Kyle Shaughnessy teamed for 13 strikeouts and 10 walks for the Cavs.

Warner Robins 10, Peach County 0

          The Demons got more than enough with three in the first of the six-inning game

West Laurens 2, Jones County 1

          The Raiders had a shutout from the first to the seventh. Jones County got a leadoff walk, but promptly hit into a double play. Then Keagan Baxter cut the lead in half with a solo homer, the game ending four pitches later on a pop to first. Colton Scott and Carson Estep had two hits each for the Raiders, and Trent Hardy had two for the Greyhounds. Starter Tyler Franks got the win, fanning nine in three innings, Sean Gorney credited with the save.
