Macon TD Club taps Covenant duo

          The Macon Touchdown Club honored players from Covenant as the latest players of the week.

          The back of the week is senior running back/defensive back Jackson Freel, who had 35 carries for 247 yards, plus 54 yards on two kickoff returns. O defense, he had seven tackles and three assists in the Georgia Association of Private and Parochial Schools' Class AA 8-man 50-28 state title win over Johnson Ferry Christian Academy..

          The lineman of the week is senior guard/defensive end Jacob Moore. He had eight pancake blocks for a offense that ran for 407 yards, and had four solos, an assist, a tackle for loss, and a fumble recovery in the win over Johnson Ferry.
