Around/About Central Georgia

Roller coaster second round for Henley

Friday was like a ride at Six Flags for Russell Henley at the Shriners Children’s Open in Las Vegas.      He birdied two of the first nine holes, parring the others, adding a birdie on his 10th. In the next five holes came a double bogey and two bogeys, with pars in between.

And he ended the day with an eagle.

That put him at 1-under for the day and a 5-under 137, among 17 tied for 57th, nine shots behind leaders Sungjae Im and Chad Ramey.

As dinner time EST came and went, the cut line was 5-under, so Henley was staying around for the weekend.
