The Royals got off to a sluggish start, but began to pull away to complete their first perfect regular season since 1978. Bleckley County had clinched the Region 3-AA championship outright, and is 10-0 overall and finished 6-0 in region play. The Royals gave up more than 20 points only once all season, and won five one-possession games.
