Finals

Class AAA

Westfield 3, Tiftarea 0

Small-ball and tight pitching has Westfield a win away from their sixth straight GISA Class AAA state title.

Two runs in the fourth were all Westfield needed. Sydney Langdon reached on error and went to third on Kendall Fowler’s fielder’s choice grounder that put her on second. An error on Riley Nelson’s grounder brought in Langdon, Madison Hammock – who walked – eventually came in on a passed ball.

That was plenty for Sydney Langdon, who struck out seven with two walks in the complete-game three-hitter that improved the Hornets to 25-1.

Class AA

Southwest Georgia 5, Piedmont 2

Class A

Thomas Jefferson 9, Fullington 2
