Saturday’s Central Georgia - and of interest to Central Georgia - news and notes, compiled from staff reports, email reports, the web, and social media.

Henley struggles in third round

Two birdies were countered by two bogeys and a double bogey, enough to drop Russell Henley from contention at The Travelers.

Henley enters the final round tied for 59th after a 72, which followed a 65 and 69.

Former Georgia golfer Brendon Todd is in first, two shots up on Dustin Johnson and 14 up on Henley and that group.

Signings

Dublin basketball standout Qua King has signed with Chattahoochee Valley Community College.

King, a forward, averaged 15 points and eight rebounds as a senior for the Irish.
