Henley misses cut at RBC
Two below-par scores are nice after a long break off, but they were quite good enough for Maconite – now a Kiawah Island resident – Russell Henley to make the cut at the RBC Heritage.
Henley shot a second straight 70 for 140, but the cut was 138, sending him home along with Charles Howell III, Kyle Stanley, Kevin Kisner, Rickie Fowler, Jason Day, Jim Furyk, and David Love III, among others.
Webb Simpson has a 1-shot lead over Bryson DeChambeau and Corey Conners with a 130.
Henley’s second round was mighty similar to the first, with four birdies and three bogeys, including No. 18 both days.
Next on the schedule is the Travelers Championship next week in Cromwell, Conn. Henley missed the cut there last year with a 74-71.
