Dodge County’s late rally wasn’t enough. Brody Little won the pitchers’ dual, with three strikeouts, two walks, and seven hits on 82 pitches. Landin Crummey went 5.2 innings with seven Ks for Dodge County.
Brentwood 4, Augusta Christian 1
The trio of Hart Williford, McKinley Netwon, and Colby Johnson kept Augusta Christian in check in its first loss of the season. Brentwood improved to 1-1.

Howard 17, Northside 4
The Huskies got 17 runs on only 11 hits, led by Scott Campbell’s three-hit, three-RBI game, with Lee Martin belting three hits and driving in two runs. Jordan Gray added two hits and two RBI. Dylan Franks had two hits for Northside. A 13-batter nine-run first got Howard (5-2) going.
Mount de Sales 8, Westfield 4
Monticello 4, Stratford 1
Monticello got the road win, thanks to a three run third and to five Stratford errors, leading to three unearned runs. Mac Barton and Tristan Humphries had two hits each for Monticello, Humphries with two RBI. Both teams had five hits.
Rutland 15, Central 5
Rutland scored in all five innings, winning on only seven hits and three Central Errors, boosted by walking 16 times. JaMarco Hughes had two hits and five RBI, Connor Wood and Casen Summerday adding two RBI. Edward Walker had two RBI for Central. Triston Tompson struck out seven in four innings for the win.

It took three innings for the Trojans, who did it on eight hits and eight walks. Konner Toth drove in three runs, and Logan Winget and Russ Miller two.
Washington County 12, Dublin 2
The Golden Hawks led 5-2 after one and pulled away late, winning in five. Jackson Lanthrip, Dalton Smith, Olimade Dixon, and Cyler Bloodworth all had two hits for Washington County, Smith with three RBI, and Dixon and Bloodworth with two each. Jonathan Mobley struck out five with a walk and four hits.
