Still admitting he was unsure about why he was dismissed, former Mercer head men’s basketball coach Bob Hoffman was surrounded by friends and family when he was introduced as Central Oklahoma’s new head coach.

Quintez Cephus is working to clear his name at the University of Wisconsin, so he can enroll in college, although where is still unknown, he told the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel on Monday. He has spent some time during the period awaiting the trial helping at a homeless shelter in Macon.
A juror told Madison TV station WKOW-ABC 27 that the “answer was clear” and that jurors all agreed immediately upon starting deliberations, which officially lasted 41 minutes.
Braves Report
For the second game in a row, a new reliever gave it up for Atlanta.
This time, Chris Martin took the loss, falling to 0-3 by giving up two runs in the bottom of the ninth as Miguel Sano belted a two-run walk-off homer in Minnesota’s 5-3 win.
Mike Soroka went seven, giving up three runs on six hits with three strikeouts and a walk.
New reliever Mark Melancon fanned two in a shutout inning, giving way to Martin.
Ronald Acuna, Freddie Freeman, and Josh Donaldson each had two hits for Atlanta, which took advantage of an error in the game-tying two-run seventh.
Atlanta stranded nine runners, three times as many as Minnesota.
