Braves Report

          The fireworks were on the field during the game, with two early ejections, and the action was plenty with a Ronald Acuna grand slam highlighting a 13-7 win – despite three errors – over Pittsburgh at SunTrust.

          Atlanta led 6-4 after three, added two in the fourth and eased away, despite three in the eighth from the Pirates.

          Nick Markakis added a four-RBI and four-hit game, Yohan Camargo going 3-for-4 in replacing Josh Donaldson, booted in the bottom of the first.

State players earn All-America honors

          Four players from the state were named to Baseball America’s All-American teams Monday.

          Georgia’s Aaron Schunk is the lone first-team pick, at utility.

          Georgia’s Emerson Hancock and Georgia Tech’s Kyle McCann made the second team, while the Yellow Jackets’ Tristin English is a third-teamer as a two-way utility player.
