Tuesday's Central Georgia Scoreboard

The master spring sports playoff Scoreboard will be in The Latest Coverage, with scores and schedules. Results and schedules – more info, the better – need to be sent to centralgasports@gmail.com. Games with details will be in the regular scoreboard.

 

High school coaches should send box scores and/or game information to centralgasports@gmail.com within 30 minutes of completion for expanded coverage. The more info provided, the more info to give people.

Gatewood 9, Thomas Jefferson 5
          A six-run fourth put Gatewood in charge of the defense-challenged (seven errors between the two) night. Logan Merritt drove in four runs on two hits, Bryce Johnson adding two hits. Walt Jarrett scored three times and Yale Stapp twice.

Tattnall 6, Greater Gwinnett Christian 2
          The Trojans put five up in the second to take control, and survive three errors. B.J. Spears went 2-for-4 with two RBI from leadoff, and Brett McHugh scored twice. Gavin Whitfield went six innings and Hunter Alexander one in the five-hitter.

Westfield 12, Bulloch 9
          The Hornets won their second straight GISA Region 4-AAA title with the win.

          Madelyn Davis got the hat trick, which Jansyn Samples missed by one, Karsten Herron rounding out the scoring. Assists: Samples, Maggie Davis 2, Mary Daniel Windham, Lily Peavy, Chloe DeZoort.

G-GMC 10, Dooly County 0
Logan Mitchem and Whitley Ward recorded hat trick, with goals from Meredith McCook, Nikkic Stevens, Deven Harper, and Shelby Duke. GMC improved to 13-4-2.

          The Warhawks rolled in 5A action.
