Tuesday's Central Georgia Scoreboard

The master spring sports playoff Scoreboard will be in The Latest Coverage, with scores and schedules. Results and schedules – more info, the better – need to be sent to centralgasports@gmail.com. Games with details will be in the regular scoreboard.

Brentwood 10, Gatewood 0
          Brentwood got going late, but finished in six, thanks in part to five Gatewood errors. Tanner Gheesling had two hits and four RBI, Schley Moore and Chase Everett with two hits each. Colby Johnson went all six innings for the two-hit win.

Central 14, Westside 4

Coffee 11, Northside 4
          Jacob Catey had two hits for the Eagles, who were within 5-3 after three.

Houston County 3, Veterans 2
          Dylan Tabor opened the bottom of the seventh with a walk, advanced on a sacrifice and passed ball, and came in with the game-winner on Cameron Jones’ one-out fly to right. Jones and Blake King had two hits each for the Bears, Blake Etheridge two of Veterans’ six hits. Jones went five innings and Tabor two, teaming for three strikeouts and no walks.

Jackson 13, Peach County 10
          The visitors stunned the hosts with five runs in the seventh.

John Milledge 11, Augusta Prep 0
          Brandon Bellflower and Marcus Prestwood combined for a one-hitter, Bellflower with eight strikeouts and no walks in three innings. Bellflower had two hits and three RBI, Gunner Sweat and Jackson Carter adding two RBI.

Jones County 14, Dutchtown 4
          The Greyhounds answered a one-run top of the first with four, and rolled from there, despite three errors. Chandler Wooten went 4-for-4 with four RBI and three runs. Seth Daniels and Brandin Johnson had two hits each, Johnson with three RBI and Daniels with two, Dawson Barnes also with two RBI. Colby Gordon whiffed five with no walks in five innings.

Mount de Sales 9, ACE 0
          MdS advances to the 7-A championship, sparked by a six-run first and helped by five errors. Landon Jernigan went 3-for-4 for the Cavs, while Jackson Taylor added two hits and Walker Schofield and Jackson Nebel two RBI each. Taylor threw a complete-game two-hitter.

Stratford 7, Glascock County 0; Stratford 7, Glascock County 2
          Three pitchers combined for the three-hit shutout for the Eagles, who got five RBI from Trey Bumgardner on two hits. John Morgan Stanley had three hits and scored twice. The Eagles led all the way in the nightcap, led by two-hit games from Waldon Davis and Stanley, Davis and Bumbgardner with two RBI each. Will Baxley and Micah Takac teamed for 10 strikeouts and five walks in the eight-hitter.
