          An eight-run second led to a 6-inning game, the Greyhounds scoring on four singles, a double, two walks, a catcher’s interference and passed ball. Brandin Johnson and Chandler Wooten had two-run singles in the inning.  Dawson Barnes belted a two-run homer in the first en route to a four-RBI day. Johnson had two hits and two RBI, and Wooten went all five innings.

Mary Persons 4, Spalding 2
          Three runs on an error, two sacrifices, singles by Alex Kite and Trippe Moore followed by a Nate Howard double in the fourth paced Mary Persons. Conner Watson and Camden Claxton combined for 14 strikeouts and only two walks for the Bulldogs.

Veterans 4, Houston County 0
          Cole Hooks, Jackson Williams, and Jacob Pierce teamed for a three-hitter – eight strikeouts, one walk - to win the county showdown. Williams had both of Veterans’ two hits, and drove in two runs.

West Laurens 6, Upson-Lee 2
          The Raiders put it away with two in the sixth and seventh innings. Tyler Franks, Brody Slaughter, and A.J. Mathis had two hits each, Franks and Slaughter with two RBI apiece. Chance Gamble and Turner Maddox had two hits each for Upson-Lee. Franks and Bradley Wilson fanned 10 and walked four.
