Signing Day No. 2 in the books
Nearly 60 high school football players from Central Georgia signed letters of intent on Wednesday, including to Syracuse and Louisville. The only place you’ll find the nearly 60 is The Sports Report.

Former FPD track standout Maggie Johnston of Samford is the Southern Conference field athlete of the week.

Amanda Thompson, to the surprise of few, is the Southern Conference women's basketball player of the month.
It's the second straight time for the Mercer senior, who averaged 16.8 points and 12.8 rebounds, shooting 52 percent from the floor and 71 percent from the
line.
She opened January with four straight double-doubles and finished the month with seven.
Thompson is averaging 17 points and 12.9 rebounds. ....
Georgia College's Bradley Cammack is the Peach Belt pitcher of the week. The senior threw five shutout innings against Paine, which hit .176 against him.
