Monday's Central Georgia Scoreboard

Baseball

Central 2, Warner Robins 1
            Keenan Gibson reached on a one-out error, advanced on a wild pitch and a passed ball, and scored the game-winner in the sixth on Jalik Thomas’ single to left.  Charles Jackson gave up a leadoff walk in the top of the seventh, and then got two outs before the game ended with catcher Xavier Darden throwing out a base-stealer at second. Jackson whiffed 12 with two walks.

FPD 11, Stratford 3
            The Eagles paid for 10 walks, FPD getting a 10-strikeout night from Austin Emener. FPD put up eight in the seventh, six before the first out on a double, three singles, three walks, hit batter, and an error. Jackson McCart led FPD with two hits and three RBI.

Mary Persons 8, Jackson 4, 8 inn.
            Jackson took a 3-1 lead in the rivalry game after one, but the Bulldogs popped for four in the eighth to win and survive five errors. MP scored in the eighth on a walk, hit batter, single, walk, single, and two-run error. Nate Howard had three hits for the Bulldogs, who got two-hit games from Camden Claxton, Alex Kite, Jerry Andrews, and Thorn Anderson. Trippe Moore fanned nine in seven innings, and Snow threw the eighth. They play again in Forsyth on Friday.

Mount de Sales 19, Peach County 5
            The Cavs broke open a 6-5 game with 13 in the sixth, aided by five Peach County errors. Landon Jernigan, Jackson Nebel, and Micah Hattaway had three hits each for the Cavs, Hattaway and Nebel with four RBI and Jernigan with two. Walker Schofield added two hits and two runs. Dylan Perry topped Peach County with two hits and three RBI, Deronte Stewart with two hits and two runs.

Northside 10, Rutland 5
            The Eagles sealed it with six in the fifth, though Rutland managed four in the sixth. Half of Northside’s runs were unearned, thanks to six errors. Hunter Price had three hits and four RBI and Levi Walker two hits and two RBI for the Eagles, while Jonathan Harnist and Peyton McKinney had two hits each for the Hurricanes.
