New GHSA regions are out, and life is very different for many Central Georgia programs
Mary Persons is now part of a huge Central Georgia Class 3A region, and Dublin is in Class A with Central and South Georgia teams, and the local private schools aren’t in as small a region as feared.
Only one area school is in an unchanged region.

Hawks’ Young goes off
Trae Young left jaws dropped and tongues wagging after leading Atlanta to a 125-121 win at Denver.
He scored a season high 42 points – his fifth 30-point game of the season - with 11 assists.

The Bears won the second quarter for a 31-26 halftime lead, but the Demons took the third quarter 18-7 and held on to that cushion in the opener. Rashaun Tomlin led Warner Robins with 12 points while Greg Jones, Quon Dillard, and Kevin Barnes added 10 points each, Dillard with 10 rebounds and Barnes eight, Barnes and Tomlin with three assists each. T.J. Morgan had 14 for Houston County, with Jakobe Nelson 11 and H.B. Morgan 10.
