Honor Roll

Lather, rinse, repeat, and hand the Southern Conference women's basketball player of the week to Mercer's Amanda Thompson.

She has taken the honor for the third straight week and fourth time this season. The preseason all-conference selection and December player of the month is the first player to win player of the week three straight times since ETSU’s Tianna Tarter in 2016. She is also the last player to win it four times in a season.

Thompson got her fourth straight double-double, with 16 points and 11 rebounds in a 71-66 loss at Jacksonville. The fifth straight one came on 18 points and 11 rebounds in a loss to Columbia.

Thompson leads the league in rebounding (9.1 per game) and offensive rebounds (3.8 per game) and is second in steals (2.3 per game). Additionally, she is in the top 10 in scoring, field goal percentage, defensive rebounds and minutes played.
