Perry alum Gentry on all-conference team

Cal Gentry’s debut season at Georgia College was a good one, so expectations are rising.

Gentry is one of three Bobcats on the All-Peach Belt preseason team, joined by Wesley Wommack and Garrett Green.

Gentry, an All-American last year, batted .300 with 75 hits and 50 RBI in 250 at-bats. Green hit .375 and Wommack .390.

The defending PBC season and tournament champs open the season on Feb. 1 against visiting Paine.
