Tuesday's Braves Report: Complete game by Folty combined with three games coming off the magic number

A complete game? Yes, from Folty

A career night in a pennant race? That’s what Atlanta got from Mike Foltynewicz in Atlanta’s 4-1 win.

Combined with Philly’s doubleheader loss to Washington, the Braves went to bed with a magic number of 12, a quick drop of three games.

Foltynewicz struck out seven and gave up just five hits, holding the Giants scoreless until the ninth and retiring 13 straight at one point.

Ender Inciarte’s sac fly brought in Nick Markakis in the fourth, and the Braves got enough to for the night an inning later on Ronald Acuna’s triple and Charlie Culberson’s two-run homer.

Culberson came in for Johan Camargo, who left in the third with left groin tightness. He’s highly doubtful for Wednesday as the Braves try to go 6-1 on this road trip.
