Saturday's Central Georgia Scoreboard

 

High school basketball and wrestling coaches should have received information-seeking packages from their ADs more than two weeks ago to fill out. Check with them or email centralgasports@gmail.com.

 

High school coaches should send box scores and/or game information to centralgasports@gmail.com within 30 minutes of completion for expanded coverage. The more info provided, the more info to give people.

          Ty Richardson again led the way, with 21 points, six steals, and four rebounds. Jasmine Greene chipped in 10 points and three assists.

          Camela Mack did some damage with 26 points, five rebounds, and four assists for the Raiders. Jakerra Wilbur added 11 points and six assists, and Makayla Kemp 10 points and eight rebounds.

Washington County 79, Johnson County 30

          Miracle Parker turned in a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds, as did Nariah Gamble with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Destinee Ellison and Taylor Jackson each had 11 points and five steals and Mariah Johnson 12 rebounds and Ashley Gray 10 for the 3-0 Golden Hawks.

Baldwin 67, Hancock Central 61

          Justin Webb helped the Braves lead tip to buzzer with 20 points, with William Freeman adding 17, Jermyus Simmons 11, and Torez Hicks 10.

          Nykeem Farrow topped the Royals with 19 points, Mekell Farrow putting in 15 points and Shontavian Manuel 12.

Desmond Williams’ 19 points led all scorers, but the Bulldogs couldn’t get much more offense going. Bryson Wooten scored 13 to lead Jones County (6-2), while Jameson Bryant added 10 points and eight rebounds.

          The Eagles made things interesting with a 13-8 lead after one, but the Knights – minus Travon Walker - woke up for a 23-2 second quarter and 31-15 halftime lead. Upson-Lee point guard Zyrice Scott went over the 1,000-point mark for his career as the Knights won their 71st straight.

          The Greyhounds had balance again, led by Marquise Jackson’s 14 points. Jameson Bryant added 13, Tre Dean 12, and Bryson Wooten 11. Chavis Mathis snagged 11 rebounds and had three blocks, Wooten six boards and five assists, and Dean four rebounds and four assists.
