          Troy shot 51.6 percent from the field and got 19 points from Alex Hicks to roll past FVSU in the opener. The Trojans held the Wildcats to 29.4 percent shooting en route to a 41-21 halftime lead.

M-UAB 75, Mercer 67

          UAB went 29 of 35 from the line and had 12-rebound advantage in holding off Mercer in the season opener.

          The Blazers turned a 12-8 deficit into a 28-20 lead, extending that to 15 inside the first six minutes of the second half. Mercer closed to within six twice late.
