Macon TD Club honors Westsider

          The Macon Touchdown Club has picked two Westside players for weekly honors.

          Quarterback Victor Dixon was 16 for 29 for a career high 360 yards and four touchdowns in the Seminoles’ 43-36 loss to Benedictine in the second round of the GHSA Class AAA playoffs.

Shorter got its fill of Thomas, who was 18-for-25 in back-to-back victories wins. He had 20 points in the first game at Centennial Center, followed by 22 points in road rematch. He added six steals and four assists in the games, moving up to second in the conference in field goal percentage and fourth in field goals made. ...

Middle Georgia State's Joy Sadler is the Southern States women's basketball player of the week after scoring 28 points with 12 rebounds, two blocks, and two steals in a 78-68 win over Thomas. She's averaging 16.4 points and 8.8 rebounds so far. ...
