Valdosta 46, Northside 44
Northside stormed back multiple times, including from a 37-24 deficit in the final seconds of the third quarter and then 19 points early in the fourth. Jadin Daniels ran for a 1-yard score, then passed four yards to Justin Lake for a score 26 seconds later. Daniels hit Dontravious Odom for a 74-yard score, and Cory Munson’s kick put the Eagles up 44-43 with 4:20 left in the game. Valdosta quarterback Tate Rodemaker converted a cluch third down before Northside’s defense stiffened to force a field goal. And A.J Akins hit the 40-yarder at the 2:02 mark. The Eagles reached near midfield, but threw four incompletions, and now settle for third in the region. The teams combined for 1,098 yards, 134 scrimmage plays, and a stunning 859 yards passing. Daniels was a shocking 17 of 31 for 343 yards and three touchdowns, adding 110 yards on the ground. Daniel Neal caught six for 130 and Keuntae Stewart seven for 199 yards.

Jones County 42, Ola 3
The Greyhounds marched out to a what 21-0 on a Jontavious Robertson run, Caden Mutchler’s 92-yard TD catch from Hunter Costlow, and then 30 yards from Costlow to Robertson.
Veterans 31, Thomas County Central 27

Mary Persons 40, Perry 3
The Bulldogs led only 14-0 at halftime, and got a 13-yard run from Rico Harden midway through the third quarter, followed five minutes later b a 44-yard TD pass from J.T. Hartage to Antoine Davis to gain full control and a 27-0 lead through three.
Howard 35, Spalding 13
The Huskies stayed in the hunt for a home playoff game with their biggest region margin of victory in program history.
Upson-Lee 34, West Laurens 24
The Knights dug a 17-0 first-half hole that improved by seven at halftime. They scored late in the third on Demeke Colbert’s 69-yard scoop and score, but missed the PAT. The Raiders – who lost standout Daymon Thomas in the first half with a foot/leg injury - went up 24-13 early in the fourth, but the Knights answered quickly with a long scoring pass from Jake Davis to Colbert to pull within 24-19 at the 10:24 mark. Davis connected with Travon Walker for a 44-yard touchdown and a 27-24 Upson-Lee lead at the 4:47 mark of the fourth quarter. The defense held, and the offense followed a big run from Thad Webb with a short Walker run for the final score, his third of the game. Davis survived two early interceptions and three overall to complete 12 of 22 for 142 yards and three scores, putting the Knights in prime position to host their first playoff game since 1993.

Peach County 42, Jackson 3
The Trojans actually trailed 3-0 less than four minutes into the first quarter. A 50-yard scoring run for Peach County followed less than a half-minute later for the lead. A muffed punt led to a short Peach County score for a 14-3 halftime lead. They put it away with two scores in the third quarter.

Dodge County 35, Bleckley County 7
Dodge County led 14-0 at halftime before pulling away and holding the Royals scoreless until the fourth quarter.
Washington County 48, Northeast 14
Dyquan Bloodsaw returned the opening kickoff for a score, and the Golden Hawks kept on cruising, leading 34-0 at halftime. He finished with 192 yards and three scores on nine carries, plus an interception. Preston Daniels rushed for 58 yards and passed for 59 yards and three touchdowns.
Southwest 50, East Laurens 13
Monticello 36, Banks County 33
Monticello got the must-win over a team just ahead in the standings, forcing a tie for the fourth spot in Region 8 with Banks County.

Dooly County came up with a needed win over a team ranked one spot ahead of the Bobcats in Class A Public.
Hawkinsville 47, Central Talbotton 22
The Red Devils exploded for their best scoreboard showing since a 49-6 win over Central Talbotton in the middle of the 2013 season.
Macon County 43, Brookstone 39
The Bulldogs are still on the bubble, but are leading toward the postseason side after beating No. 14 Private.

The Trojans scored once in each quarter with George Vining scoring the first and last touchdowns, from 3 and 5 yards. Miles Morris had a 3-yard run and Jamal Marshall a 44-yarder. Parker Ingram caught a 7-yard TD pass from Jackson McCart, and Josh Raines added a 5-yard score. The Trojans put up 367 yards on 46 carries, led by Marshall’s 148 yards on 19 carries, Vining getting 124 on 16 and Wes Allen 99 on six. Ingram was 10 of 18 for 100 yards for the Vikings, and Raines gained 76 yards on 11 carries.
Hancock Central 38, Lincoln County 21

The Eagles scored their season high while recording their first shutout since last year’s meeting with the Cobras.
Mount de Sales 56, Wilkinson County 12
The Cavs solidified their playoff spot at No. 10 Private with the romp, their highest point total since last season’s opener, a 57-6 win over Pacelli. It was 42-12 at halftime. Dexter Williams was 4 for 6 for 95 yards and three touchdowns, getting only 38 yards as the Cavs spread the rushing wealth with five runners getting at least 30 yards, led by Josiah Cotton’s 92 yards en route to a team effort of 283. Cotton, Williams, Micah Hattaway and Akhori Jones had rushing touchdowns. Williams threw touchdown passes to Hattaway twice and Walker Schofield. Jackson Schofield added an 85-yard pick-6 in the second quarter.
