Monday's Central Georgia Scoreboard (first edition): high school softball, college golf

Note to all high school softball and volleyball teams: please email region tournament pairings to centralgasports@gmail.com before each tournament, and send scores and an updated bracket/pairings at the end of each night to be  listed and posted each day. Teams not on Gamechanger should send their box score or highlights within 30 minutes of game completion.

 

MONDAY

Softball

ACE 16, Wilkinson County 0

          Emma Livingston drove in three runs on two hits, and Gabby Phillips and Sara Winters added two RBI in Mary Elizabeth Ballard’s three-inning perfect game.

Bleckley County 4, Telfair County 2

          Abbey Sims belted a two-run homer in the fifth, and that ended up being the difference.

East Laurens 20, Northeast 0

          Kaleigh Jackson had three hits and two RBI, while Julia Luecke, Jasmine Haynes, Kristen Hubbard, and Hailey Knowles had two hits for the Falcons. Jackson had six strikeouts and no walks in a three-inning perfect game.

FPD 4, GMC 2

          The Vikings got enough early, with three in the first, and held on, thanks in part to four GMC errors. Allison Hammock had two hits and Mindy Carol Register three RBI for the Vikings, who loaded the bases to open the game and got a run on a groundout and two on an error. Karsen Ochs struck out 13 with two walks in a four-hitter.

Makenna Talcott had two hits for GMC.

GMC 4, Tattnall 3

          Cade Bass stroked a sacrifice fly to drive in the game-winning run, and push the Bulldogs into a 5:55 p.m. game.

John Milledge 10, Briarwood 9

Hawkinsville 9, Crawford County 0

          Sam Lancaster, Nadia Sloan, and Valerie Otto had two hits each for Hawkinsville. Danielle Powers threw a one-hitter.

Mary Persons 10, Howard 0; Mary Persons 15, Howard 0

          Mallory Turner threw a two-hitter for the Bulldogs, who got three RBI from Karsin Bass and three hits from Faith Ann Rozier, plus two hits and two RBI from Aleah Hayman. The Bulldogs got all their runs in the first two innings of the nightcap. Alissa Rozier drove in six runs n three hits, and Emmalee Hayman three runs on a hit.

Stratford 2, Mount de Sales 1

          The Eagles got two in the sixth on on a walk, single, and triple. Jordan Partain struck out 13 in a losing effort.

Tattnall 9, Washington-Wilkes 0

          Kaitlyn Hallman drove in three runs, and Julia Bridgeman and Kaci Paul had two hits each for Tattnall, aided by five W-W errors. Kenna Epps fanned four in a five-hitter.

Veterans 6, Tift County 0

          Avery Smith survived six walks with four strikeouts in throwing a two-hitter. Jalah Gainous went 2-for-2 for the Warhawks.
