So, you’re ready to get loose.
Began stretching this week, doing some lifting, watched a little tape.
You’re ready to strap it up and go? Strap up your seat belt and watch some high school football?
High school stadiums throughout the area and state will be busy on Friday with scrimmages.
At this point, 10 Central Georgia teams are hosting, and there will be four in Bibb County, including ACE, hosting Montgomery County at Thompson.
Barney Hester’s last two schools will meet, Tattnall hosting Howard.
New coaches meet, with Central at Veterans. Two of Central Georgia’s more veterans coaches go at it with Westside at Macon County.
Since they’re not playing a regular-season game for the first time since 1999, Peach County and Perry are going at it in the Panthers’ upgraded facilities. Tickets are regular-season prices, though, at $10.
The first game of the season is next Thursday, with Jones County visiting Howard at Ed DeFore.
(Teams should email their scrimmage information to centralgasports@gmail.com. This story will be updated twice daily, around lunchtime and after dinner, as needed)
