Middle inning big as Macon wins at home

          The Bacon scored three in the fifth and in the sixth innings en route to a 6-1 win over Lexington County.

          Preston Sparks (Veterans/Middle Georgia State) went seven strong innings, allowing a run on four hits with six strikeouts and two walks, Zach Reid finishing things off.

          Cal Gentry (Perry/Georgia College) went 3-for-5, while Brandon Michie (Mercer) and Kenton Crawford each had two hits for the Bacon, back to .500 at 22-22.

          Macon is at Savannah on Tuesday, then hosts Florence on Thursday and Savannah on Friday in the final home games of the season. Macon is at Lexington County on Saturday in the finale.
