            The celebration of a state title continues for Tattnall with statewide honors.

            Luke Laskey has been named the Class A Private player of the year by the Georgia Dugout Preview while Joey Hiller is that class’s coach of the year.

            Laskey went 13-1 as the Trojans’ No. 1 starting pitcher, with  a 1.21 ERA and a save to go with a .477 batting average, six homers and 28 RBI. The site noted that he went 13 for 25 with 10 RBI in the postseason.

            Hiller cracked the 500-win mark earlier this season, and led the Trojans to their second state title in just four years in the GHSA and 20th overall.

            Central Georgia was well represented on the Dugout Preview’s all-state teams.

            Laskey is among six first-teamers from Tattnall.

            Dodge County had three first-teamers in Class 2A, Houston County two in 6A and FPD two in Class A Private.
