          Charleston won its seventh straight with a comeback win while Georgia lost its fourth straight.

 

USC Aiken 5, Georgia College 4

          It was still a good weekend for the Bobcats, who took 2 out of 3 from the Pacers.

 

Illinois-Chicago 12, Georgia Tech 5

          The team from the midwest snapped the Yellow Jackets' 7-game winning streak.

 

Mercer 12, Holy Cross 4

          Weather moved the opener back to Sunday night, and the Bears won their sixth straight, 12-4.

          The teams play an afternoon doubleheader Monday.

          Only three of South Forsyth's runs were earned, and FPD pitchers struck out 12 and walked four while the Vikings managed just 5 hits.

          The bottom of the order was big for the Trojans, with batters 5-9 - Trey Ham, Brooks Gorman, Austin Marchman, Kaden Toth and BJ Spears - teaming for 8 hits, 9 runs, and 5 RBI.

          FPD got 2 goals from Hunter Kunzlemen and 1 each from Henry Middlebrooks, Noah Lyu, Robert Johnson, Brady Garrison, with assists from Stephen Summerow (2), Middlebrooks and Andrei Parrish.

          Tyler Wages had 3 RBI and Baylor Edge 2 hits for Monticello in the second game, the Hurricanes holding off Banks County's seventh-inning rally.

Covenant 4, Horizon Christian 3

          Harrison Gentry had 2 hits for Covenant, which matched Horizon's 2-run sixth for the win.

Crisp County 8, Peach County 2

          Brody Harrelson had 2 hits for the Trojans, who didn't help things on defense with 4 errors.

Dublin 23, Twiggs County 2

          Torian Holder led the 15-hit attack with a 4-for-4 day and 4 RBI plus 3 runs. Triquavious Moye scored 5 times on 2 hits and 2 RBI, while Trent Leroy drove in 4 runs. Zion Washington had 2 hits and Arshon James 2 RBI. The Cobras walked 10 batters and had 6 errors. Dublin pitchers Nick Sumner and Kendall Wade fanned 8 and allowed 3 hits.

FPD 15, Wilkinson County 0

          Rob Cunningham sat down 6 in throwing a 4-inning 1-hitter, the Warriors walking 8 and committing 6 errors. Gavin Bloodworth had a homer and 3 RBI, and Dalton Cox drove in 5 runs on 2 hits and Garrett West 3 on 3.

Northside 9, Warner Robins 1

          The Eagles played some small ball and took advantage of 6 walks and 5 errors, leading to 6 unearned runs. Austin Mathews and Ross McDaniel held the Demons to 3 hits.

Ola 10, Jones County 2

          Ola, despite 9 errors (nine), held the Greyhounds scoreless until the fifth, and had 6 runs by then in allowing only one hit.

Rutland 9, Howard 3

          Logan Moss and Peyton McKinney had 2 hits each and Moss and Aubrey Merritt drove in two runs each for the Hurricanes.

Tattnall 11, Redan 0

          The Trojans needed only 7 hits to roll, aided by 11 walks. Austin Marchman was 2-for-4 with 4 RBI, BJ Spears adding 2 hits and Miles Morris 2 RBI. Luke Laskey struck out 9 and walked 3 in the 3-hitter.

Tattnall 3, Holy Innocents' 0

          Brooks Gorman struck out 9 and gave up on 2 hits in the complete-game win. Logan Fink drove in 3 runs for the Trojans.

West Laurens 3, Bleckley County 0

          Nolan Daniel struck out 14 in 5 innings and A.J. Mathis finished up the 1-hitter for the Raiders, the pair walking no Royals. West Laurens scored 3 in the third, and each team stranded 4 runners.

Veterans 3, Thomas County Central 2

          Ben Gibbs and Derek Wylie teamed for a 1-hitter, with 8 Ks and 5 BBs. Jacob Pierce had 3 hits and 2 runs, and Gibbs drove in 2 runs. The Warhawks survived 5 errors in the road win.

          Two Mary Persons pitchers struck out 13 - and walked 7 -as the Bulldogs pieced together 3 more hits for the shutout. Cam Agnew drove in 3 runs on 2 hits for the Bulldogs, who got 2 hits from Christian Knight and JD Richards.

Mount de Sales 10, Central 0

          A first-inning touchdown worth of runs sent the Cavs on to an easy win. Seven Central errors helped. Jackson Taylor had 3 hits and 2 RBI, Rossman Diaz had 3 RBI on a hit, and Carson Riley and Micah Hattay had 2 hits each. Taylor sat down 11 Chargers and walked 1 in the 2 hitter.

          Upson-Lee trailed from the second inning on and couldn't get going against Harris County pitching, which fanned 8 Knights and gave up only 4 hits.

Johnson County 10, Dublin 0

          Johnson County had only two more hits than Dublin, but the Irish had five more errors and stranded six runners, thanks in large part to striking out 12 times.

Jones County 5, Ola 2

          The Greyhounds improved to 5-4 after a 4-run first put them in control. Hunter Pierce and Seth Daniels each had tw0-run singles in the first inning. Pierce had 2 hits and 3 RBI, while Teldrick Ross scored twice. Pierce got the complete-game, 4-hit win, striking out 6.

Veterans 2, Harris County 1

          The battle of small ball, defense, and pitching went to the visitors, who scored two in the sixth to win. A walk, sacrifice by   Spencer Sebero, error and Leyton Pinckney's double gave the Warhawks what they needed. Pitchers Cole Hooks, Jackson Williams, and Derek Wylie teamed to keep Harris County in check after a second-inning run.

          Sadie Frame and Elizabeth Nelson had 3 goals each and Jansyn Smaples 2 for the Vikings, who led 9-0 at hlaftime.

B-FPD 2 (4-3), Putnam County 2

          The Vikings won 4-3 in penalty kicks.

          The Warhawks got 2 goals each from Danielle Coumbs and Brenley Townsend, and 1 from Maranda Krirat and Sage Sammeli.

          Colby Johnson powered the Eagles with 6 RBI on a 4-for-5 night, scoring 3 times. Schley Moore, Will Ahrens (3 RBI), and Tanner Gheesling each had two hits for Brentwood, which led 8-1 after 5.

FPD 14, Wilkinson County 2

          The Vikngs had 13 hits, 5 going for extra bases. Hudson Mimbs, Ryan Jones, Dalton Cox, Harrison Aulds, Michael Bakker and Chet Thompson each had 2 hits, with Bakker driving in 4 runs and Cox, Mimbs, Aulds and Thompson 2 each. FPD led 6-2 after 2 and added 5 in the sixth. Barrett Barkley and Aulds combined for 11 strikeouts and 3 walks.

Crisp County 11, Northside 5

          Dylan Franks had 2 hits and 2 RBI for the Eagles, doomed by a 5-run second inning by the Cougars.

Hawkinsville 4, Bleckley County 2

          Hawkinsville kept a slight lead the entire time, getting an insurance run in the fifth. Tyler Meeks, Tristan Laidler, Jay Bentley, and Bryce Murkerson had 2 hits each for the Red Devils, who got a quality pitching effort from Bentley and Meeks, allowing 6 hits while fanning 7 and walking 2. Bleckley County pitchers Trip Purser and Shayne Cannon whiffed 9 and walked 2, but the Royals stranded 10 in 2-hit games from Chandler Abney, Cody Dennis and Steven Knighton.

Houston County 8, Perry 0

          Cam Jones and Chandler Ring had it going on the mound in throwing a 2-hitter. Jones had 6 strikeouts and 4 walks, Ring 6 and 3. Thus, Perry stranded 8 runners, 2 less than Houston County, the Bears led at the plate by RJ Preston's 3-for-4 night with 3 RBI.

Jackson 14, Mary Persons 3

          Jackson put 11 up in the first inning to cruise against the Bulldogs, held to a hit.

Monticello 4, Monroe 2

          The Hurricanes took a 2-1 lead after one and kept it behind the pitching of Matt Cain, Justyn Fields, and Hunter Duke. Tyler Wages had a 2-for-3 night for Monticello.

Mount de Sales 4, Putnam County 3

          The Cavs scored 3 in the sixth on doubles by Walker Schofield and Ross Diaz. Diaz went 3-for-4, with Schofield, Jackson Taylor, and Steele Bruce getting 2 hits each and Schofield driving in 2. Carson Riley and Kobe Butts struck out 11 while also allowing 10 hits.

Swainsboro 8, East Laurens 4

          Cam Oliver went 3-for-4 with 2 RBI and Cuyler Morris added 2 hits for the Falcons, who coughed up 7 runs in the top of the seventh after leading 4-1 entering the inning. The hosts hurt themselves with 5 errors.

Upson-Lee 6, Troup County 5

          Brooks Gulley's single scored A Hendricks and C Gamble with 2 outs for a walk-off win for the Knights, who needed 3 in the bottom of the seventh. T Walls scored the first run of the inning on T Maddox's groundout to first. Alex Blount went 2-for-3 for the Knights, boosted on the mound by starter Alex Blount (6 IP) and Ty Rechtorovic.

Veterans 16, Warner Robins 1

          The Warhawks combined 12 hits with 12 walks and 3 Demon errors to romp. Derek Wylie and Ben Gibbs each had 2 hits, Wylie driving in 3 as 10 Warhawks got hits. Jayden Chance and Austin Miranda teamed for a 4-hitter for Veterans, which led 11-1 after 3.

GMC 13, Lincoln County 6

          Each team had 8 hits, but GMC took advantage of 6 errors and 9 walks. Seven of the Bulldogs' runs were unearned. Cory Bivins had 3 hits for the Bulldogs, who got a 4-K, 0-BB night from Jontavious Byner in a complete game win.

Jones County 4, Perry 2

          Jones County's trio Chase Green, Nick Trefelner, and Dawson Barnes fanned 14 and walked 7, the Greyhounds taking advantage of 2 Panther errors. Teldrick Ross had 2 hits for Jones County, and Jacob Hunt 2 for Perry, which outhit the Greyhounds 6-4.

Rutland 13, Northside 7

          Dylan Franks drove in 4 runs with one hit - a game-tying 3-run HR in the third - but that wasn't enough for Northside against a strong 11-hit outing for Rutland. Aubrey Merritt and Peyton McKinney had 2 hits, Merritt and Triston Thompson each with 2 RBI.

Upson-Lee 10, Jordan 0

          Lawson Rucker and Gabe Pollard teamed fora  2-hitter, Pollard adding a 2-hit day along with Turner Maddox, Joshua Keeter (also a HR), and Alex Blount. Keeter had 3 RBI, with Maddox, Pollard, and Hendricks adding 2 each. The Knights got 5 in the third and in the 5th.
