Winning streak - and season - end early for Mercer men
    The Mercer that was on an eight-game winning streak wasn't the Mercer that rode to Asheville.
    The Bears never led as Wofford avenged two losses to Mercer with a much sharper performance from the start in a 73-53 win in the Southern Conference tournament.

Warner Robins rolls, Wilkinson survives, Westside loses heartbreaker
    Central Georgia went 2-1 Saturday in GHSA state semifinal boys games.
    The semifinal scoreboard has been updated with some details and will be expanded Sunday.

Baldwin's Harris disappointed and upbeat
    Baldwin head coach Buck Harris has the Braves ahead of schedule, and that schedule included Final Four trips. He was down about Friday, but already ready for next year: video.

College basketball: Georgia loses late lead, falls to Tennessee
    Tennessee outscored Georgia 9-0 down the stretch for a 66-61 win to take a share of the SEC title and put the Bulldogs in the 12th spot for the SEC Tournament.

    The lone Macon goal came midway through the third period in a 4-1 loss at Huntsville.

College baseball: Georgia College blasts USC Aiken on the road
    Perry alum Cal Gentry had two of Georgia College's 17 hits in a 13-3 romp of USC Aiken.
    Georgia College is ranked 22nd and USC Aiken 34th.

College softball: Georgia College splits
    Georgia College had the offense, defense an pitching in a 9-3 win over King, and not so much in the rematch with 3 errors in a 10-5 loss.
